Clinical directors' meeting

The ANZCA NZ National Committee facilitates an annual meeting for the clinical directors of New Zealand's anaesthesia departments, usually held on the first Friday of September each year. For further information, or to make suggestions for future meetings, email the events co-ordinator at ANZCA's New Zealand office.

 

NZ Anaesthesia Annual Scientific Meetings (ASM)

The 2019 New Zealand Anaesthesia ASM, hosted by the ANZCA New Zealand National Committee (NZNC), the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists (NZSA) and the Joint Anaesthesia Faculty Auckland (JAFA), will be held in Queenstown on August 21-24. It will combine with the Annual Queenstown Update in Anaesthesia (AQUA) and the theme is Aspirations into Action.

Professor Alan Merry will present at the opening session to introduce the 2020 inaugural New Zealand Anaesthesia Education Committee (NZAEC) Alan Merry Oration.

 
NZ Anaesthesia Visiting Lectureships 
The NZ Anaesthesia Education Committee (NZAEC) offers an annual NZ Anaesthesia Visiting Lectureship Programme to promote the sharing of knowledge and experience by funding lecturers to present nominated outstanding presentations made in anaesthesia departments and practices to anaesthesia departments in regional centres. 

Nominations for the visiting lectureships close on September 30 each year. Expressions of interest from regional hospital departments in hosting a lecturer should also be made by September 30 each year for the following year. Early Management of Severe Trauma (EMST) courses
