Quality Assurance Workshop

Join us for our second Quality Assurance meeting for the year at ANZCA House, on Saturday October 19. This meeting is convened by Dr Dean Dimovski and Dr Gareth Symons and starts with lecture sessions held in the Auditorium, followed by small group discussions in various rooms at the college.

Lecture session: 2-3pm

  • 2-2.30pm: “Of Mice and Men…Theory underlying the field of Onco-Anaesthesia” - Dr Julia Dubowitz

  • 2.30-3pm: "Can anaesthetists RIOT to improve cancer outcomes after surgery" - Dr Rani Chahal

Afternoon tea: 3-3.45pm

Quality Assurance activities: 3.45-5.30pm 

  • 3.45-4.30pm Small group discussions. 

    Please bring a case to discuss. This does not have to be relevant to the topic discussed in lecture sessions

  • 4.30-5.30pm Summaries from small groups.

Closing drinks: 5.30-6pm

Meeting cost:  $132 (including GST)




  • One point  for the Lecture Sessions – CPD Knowledge and Skills “Learning Session”.
    (One point per hour/one hour.)

  • Four points for the group discussions  CPD Practice Evaluation “Case Conference”. 
    (Two points per hour/two hours.)
