Courses for trainees

Our trainee courses are scheduled to run throughout the year. These courses are specifically designed to assist and prepare trainees for the primary and final written and oral exams.

These courses are comprehensive, and cover many of the curriculum topics that are potentially included in the exams. The written components of the courses are led by course convenors, Dr Adam Skinner, Dr Glenn Downey and Dr Damien Castanelli.

The practice viva sessions are led by medical registrars, at the various participating hospitals throughout Melbourne.

Social networks and events for trainees

Victorian trainees' Facebook group
The Victorian trainee committee has set up the Victorian Anaesthestic Registrars' Facebook group as a way of improving interaction between the registrars across the state, and as part of our efforts to improve trainee welfare. We will also use this group to promote trainee social events. Please note that this is a closed group, so you need to be added or approved following a request to be added.
