Dr David Jones

Dr David Jones.gifDavid Jones is a specialist in anaesthesia and pain medicine at Dunedin Hospital, clinical leader of the pain service there and honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Otago. David's clinical interests include intravenous anaesthesia, neuropathic pain, long-term opioid treatment, multidisciplinary pain management and collaborating with other professional specialties such as O&G on chronic pelvic pain cases, and with primary care towards managing pain better. As Dean of Faculty of Pain Medicine from May 2010, David is a member of ANZCA Council. Previously he has served as president of both the New Zealand Society of Anaesthetists and the New Zealand Pain Society, has been a member of New Zealand National Committee of ANZCA, served as final examiner FANZCA for 12 years, and as inaugural assessor and examiner for the Faculty of Pain Medicine more than nine years.
