Dr Genevieve Goulding
Genevieve Goulding is a deputy director in quality and safety for the
Department of Anaesthesia at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
Genevieve trained at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney. Her
anaesthesia interests include obstetric anaesthesia, medical education,
welfare issues and patient safety. Genevieve has held numerous
positions for the Australian Society of Anaesthetists including state
committee chair, member of the NSW Continuing Medical Education
Committee, executive councillor and education officer. She is a
founding member and former chair of the Welfare of Anaesthetists
Special Interest Group and a member of the executive of the Obstetric
Anaesthesia SIG. Genevieve was elected to the College Council in 2007.
Genevieve has been Chair of the Education and Training Committee since 2010. The ETC co-ordinates and approves the activities of all the committees relevant to training and assessments, including the curriculum revision and then presents them to Council for final ratification. The ETC also oversees changes to regulations, professional documents and resources relevant to training.
