Organisation Structure
Fellows contribute to the functioning of the College in a variety of ways: by participating on Council, committees, sub-committees, numerous taskforces and Special Interest Groups; by acting as examiners and course tutors; and by reviewing training hospitals. They do so in an honorary capacity.
Given the range and scope of its activities and the pro bono nature of the work undertaken by its Fellows, the College uses a body of staff to assist it in carrying out the many daily administrative and professional-support activities required to meet its objectives. These staff are primarily located in the College's Head Office in Melbourne, but national and regional committees are supported in their work by offices in New Zealand, and in the states and territories of Australia.
College staff are functionally grouped into ten units reporting to the CEO. These are indicated in the diagram below and their specific functional roles described more fully in the table following the diagram.
