LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP
Martin Chapman
Department of Psychiatry, Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, and private practice, Perth, WA
This session will look at the stresses that can affect a medical practitioner, especially those that may affect relationships. Typical patterns of difficulty will be highlighted and discussed. This is a particularly important area, and many medical practitioners tend to ignore or deny these issues in their private lies. Strategies for dealing with individual stress, relationship issues and also the management of stress in colleagues (including administrative issues) will be covered. The format will be interactive and should be fun.
