Update on Training for sedation in Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Procedures
Recently, the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) jointly issued an updated policy on sedation (ANZCA Professional Document PS 9 Guidelines on Sedation and/or Analgesia for Diagnostic and Interventional Medical or Surgical Procedures).

Conflict of Interest policy
At ANZCA’s October Council meeting, a Conflict of Interest policy was approved. The purpose of the policy is to provide guidance in identifying and handling potential and actual conflicts of interest involving the College and its activities.

I will be discussing different anaesthetic agents that are used in veterinary private practice. Plus you will be given an insight into the difficulties we encounter due to the varying sizes and temperaments of our patients. I will share with you some of the highlights of my experience of veterinary anaesthesia.
