ANZCA education events

ANZCA offers a wide range of educational events and training courses across Australia and New Zealand designed to support the personal and professional learning of its Fellows and trainees.

Comprising 13 modules, the ANZCA Educators Program is designed to equip Fellows, international medical graduate specialists and provisional Fellows with the skills and knowledge they need to engage trainees in learning.
The modules are delivered as an eight-module course, run over two-and-a-half days, or as individual modules, each lasting approximately 90 minutes.
Course dates are listed for registration via the ANZCA Event Calendar

The Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) course provides training in the management of anaesthetic emergencies.
All ANZCA trainees are required to complete an EMAC course before end of training. Participants of the ANZCA Continuation Professional Development Program who attend the course will earn CPD credits under the emergency response category for CICO and cardiac arrest activities.
The EMAC course is delivered at various centres in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong. Visit the EMAC course webpage for a listing of centres offering the course.

A free face-to-face course offered in all ANZCA training regions aimed to help ANZCA introductory trainees succeed in training.
The course offers an orientation of the training program; an understanding of requirements and expectations; sharing of support resources; sharing of tips for trainings and exams; and information on welfare. This is a great opportunity for trainees to network and meet fellow trainees in the same training region.
Contact your local ANZCA office for course dates.
For trainees who are are unable to attend a face-to-face course, all the Part Zero course presentations and resources are available online via Networks.

Live exam preparation webinars are held prior to each primary examination and final examination.
Presenters are current or former examiners who will address some of the preconceptions
associated with the College’s examinations and provide practical advice on approaching
the multiple choice questions, short answer questions and medical vivas.
The sessions are interactive and participants will have the opportunity to pose questions to the presenters. A highly recommended event for all trainees preparing to sit the exams.
