Interprofessional collaboration between students in clinical practice

Presented by Professor Sari Ponzer

Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden

Date:     Thursday 27 November 2008

Time:     12:30 – 13:30 pm

Venue:   Auditorium, ANZCA House

Synopsis

During this seminar interprofessional education (IPE) in clinical practice will be discussed. Experiences from Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden, will exemplify how IPE can be managed for undergraduate medical, nurse, occupational therapy and physiotherapy students on an orthopedic ward as well as for nurses and physicians during their specialist training at an intensive care unit. Learning together promotes team work and aims to enhance patient safety and good patient care.
