Management of Cardiac arrest for Specialist Pain Medicine Physicians (SPMP)

This cardiac arrest activity aims to ensure specialist pain medicine physicians who are not practising anaesthetists, have extensive training in advanced life support, and that there are causes of cardiac arrest that are more specific to settings where procedures for pain are being practised
This activity requires completion of an education session or course, which includes a face-to-face simulation component. Simulation in this context may mean bench top training or use of simple mannequins in a local department, not necessarily fully immersive mannequin-based simulation in a simulation centre.
Standards for education session providers refer to Appendix 22.

International meetings may be recognised if they comply with the education standards set out in Appendix 22. Details on the process of gaining recognition can be found here.
Evidence:            Certificate of completion issued by a recognised provider.
