Dr Lindy Roberts is a past ANZCA President and has been an ANZCA councillor since 2004. She is a staff specialist in anaesthesia and pain management at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Perth, Western Australia. This podcast provides an overview of why the College has changed its continuing professional development (CPD) standard, the ANZCA and FPM CPD program, how fellows have shaped the new program and also provides information on what will happen next, as well as the College support that will be available to you.

Dr Richard Waldron is a private practitioner from Hobart, Tasmania, who became a College councillor in May 2013. This podcast is delivered in three parts, and provides an overview of the revised ANZCA and FPM CPD program and standard, outlining how these changes affect practitioners in private practice. 


Part one outlines where the ANZCA and FPM CPD project is going and where we have been over the past 20 years, as well as discussing the current regulatory environment. 


Part two examines international standards and looks at two Australian medical colleges and their CPD programs, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.


Part three examines what the 2014 CPD program will mean to you, where you can find further information and how you can help by providing feedback about the program.
