Program Framework - Activities and Credits
These are the four Categories in the triennial program
- Category 1. Group Learning
- Category 2. Self-Learning
- Category 3. Practice Assessment
- Category 4. Education Development
Each Category has two Levels of activities. Level 1 is generally passive learning. Level 2 activities are interactive, or are more effective in transferring knowledge to practice, or require more involvement from the Fellow.
Activities earn Credits that are time-based and weighted towards those of Level 2. Participants must attain 40 Credits per year (or 120 Credits over the triennium), or for those in non-clinical practice or in retirement, 20 Credits per year.
A CPD Plan (Category 2, Level 2) must be undertaken at the start, and an Evaluation of participation (Category 3, Level 2) at the end of each Fellow’s triennium. Reflection activities are encouraged but are not mandatory. (See Toolkits for assistance with each of these items with the program.)
