Better, Cheaper, Faster – Changing Values in Anaesthesia

The 2008 Annual Combined Meeting of the Medical Education, Simulation and Skills Training, Welfare of Anaesthetists and Anaesthetists in Management Special Interest Groups will be held at Rydges Lakeside Resort, Queenstown, New Zealand on 29 – 31 August.
The theme of the meeting addresses economic imperatives creeping into surgical and anaesthesia services and the impact of these on personal health, quality and safety and education. Can we work faster? Where are savings to be made and how does this impact on the quality of our practice, the effectiveness of workplace education and our wellbeing?
Call for Abstracts
A number of Free Paper Sessions will be included in the meeting on the areas of Anaesthesia Education, Simulation and Skills Training, Management and Welfare Issues. Delegates are invited to submit abstracts for these sessions by 1 July 2008.
The abstract should be a summary of the presentation, and be no longer than 300 words. The structure of the abstract is left to the discretion of the author, but should contain an introduction, description of review and conclusion.
