Key research grants for fellows

Professor Paul Myles, Professor David Story and Dr Doug Campbell have all been awarded top research grants in Australia and New Zealand.
 
Professor Paul Myles, Director, Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, the Alfred and Monash University has been awarded a $A5.2 million National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Clinical and Cohorts Grant for the TRIGS Trial (Tranexamic acid to Reduce Infection after Gastrointestinal Surgery).

Professor David Story is a Chief Investigator for the NHMRC funded Clinical Trial and Cohort Studies Grant project to examine whether flash monitoring can improve blood glucose levels in Indigenous Australians with  type 2 diabetes. The study received $A3,150,995.

In New Zealand, Dr Doug Campbell received $NZ490,000 from the Auckland Medical Research Foundation for the MASTERSTROKE study into induced hypertension.
