Medical vivas cancelled

ANZCA has made the decision to cancel the Medical Vivas that were due to be held on Saturday 14 March in Australian and New Zealand hospitals.
The cancellation is due to concerns with the evolving situation in relation to COVID19. It only applies to the medical vivas which were to be held in hospitals.

We appreciate the uncertainty this situation may create for those involved with the Final Exam and acknowledge the additional stress this may be generating.

This is a difficult decision to make but we feel that at this point it is the most responsible thing to do for volunteer patients, candidates, examiners and ANZCA staff in the hospital setting.

We will be in contact to clarify how this may affect the overall scores associated with the exam in the coming days.

Please note that the written examinations component will be proceeding as planned on Friday 13 March.

Please contact the Final Examinations team at ANZCA if you require further information at

The ANZCA Doctors' Support Program is available as part of our ongoing support and information can be found here.
