New-look WBAs on their way

We're changing the way we run our workplace-based assessments (WBAs) to make them better feedback and learning mechanisms.

The WBA relaunch project group have developed a new and sustainable ‘champion’ model for WBA education in training departments. The champions’ role has been renamed the ‘leads’ and a new job description has been developed. The primary task of the leads is to provide ongoing education about the WBAs for accredited departments in their region or state. The college has appointed 29 WBA leads across Australia and New Zealand who have been selected for their enthusiasm, commitment to WBAs together with their educational expertise.

In 2019, all ANZCA training sites will have access to a workshop from their regional WBA lead with the purpose of recalibrating and reinvigorating the WBA message at the local level. The rollout of the local WBA workshops is scheduled to commence from March 2019 accompanied by the updating of online WBA support resources on Networks. Australasian-wide promotional events will occur later this year, so watch this space!
