Design of the College Coat of Arms
After consulting the Fellowship late last year on the preferred type of emblem for the new college and receiving a clear message that a traditional Coat of Arms was favoured, the Board have been busy considering design options. We believe that we are very close to having an elegant, enduring symbol for the new college, one that will serve us well and adorn our Diploma and other corporate material (eg letterhead) with dignity.

Welcome to JFICM

Welcome to the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine Website.

The Joint Faculty is the body responsible for training, education and standards for intensive care medicine in Australia and New Zealand.

It is a joint faculty of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

A diploma of six years is offered, comprising three years basic and three years advanced training, in approved hospitals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and some other overseas units. Successful completion of the Diploma results in Fellowship, FJFICM.
