The Differential Diagnosis of Fixed Dilated Pupils:A Case Report and Review

ABSTRACT

This case report describes a patient with Guillain-Barre syndrome in whom the presence of coma and absent brain stem reflexes suggested the possibility of brainstem death. A differential diagnosis of fixed dilated pupils is presented. (Critical Care and Resuscitation 2000; 2: 34-37)
