ANZCA runs many events to benefit Fellows and trainees, including an annual scientific meeting, workshops, conferences and courses designed to encourage and support medical specialists in their training and continuing professional development. The College also aims to keep trainees and Fellows informed about anaesthesia and pain medicine events held around the world.

New Challenges in Anaesthesia
Saturday June 16
Hilton Sydney
The 77th Continuing Education Seminar, New Challenges in Anaesthesia, will be held on Saturday, June 16 at the Sydney Hilton.
The three sessions have been planned to include lectures and group learning activities which will allow anaesthetists to learn about some of the recent changes occurring in the specialty. These include modern anaesthetic machines and ventilators, anaesthetic apps for smart phones and updates in a variety of clinical management issues and essential skills.
For trainees, and those consultants involved with registrar training, there will be a presentation about the new ANZCA curriculum and, new for 2012, formal project presentations by selected trainees.

Anatomy for Anaesthetists

The NSW Anaesthetic Continuing Education Committee is presenting a full day of anatomy demonstrations using specimens dissected for anatomy relevant to nerve blocks. Numbers are limited (50) so please enrol early. For further information please email nswevents@anzca.edu.au.
