Regulation 25

AUSTRALIAN AND NEW ZEALAND COLLEGE OF ANAESTHETISTS COUNCIL CITATION

The ANZCA Council Citation was established by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2000.

1.   This award is made at the discretion of the Council of the College in recognition of significant contributions to particular activities of the College.

2.   Nominations may be considered at any Council Meeting and shall be made in writing by five Fellows.

3.   Nominations must be accompanied by a curriculum vitae and be submitted at least 30 days prior to the Council Meeting.

4.   Voting on the nominations shall be by secret ballot.

5.   No award shall be made unless three quarters of the Council members present vote in favour.

6.   Nominations rejected by the Council may be reconsidered at a subsequent meeting.

(NZ) For contributions to anaesthesia teaching in New Zealand and to the New Zealand National Committee as Honorary Secretary, Deputy Chairman and Chairman, Assistant Assessor OTS (NZ), as a Primary Examiner.

(VIC) For contributions to the Faculty of Anaesthetists, RACS and the College as a member of the VRC, Councillor, Assistant Assessor, Assessor, Chairman of the Hospital Accreditation Committee, and as a member of the Panel of Examiners.  Also for his involvement in the purchase of Ulimaroa and as a member of the Victorian Chairs of Anaesthesia Appeal Committee.

(NZ) Posthumously awarded for contributions to Anaesthesia and Intensive Care in New Zealand.
