Reg 32 New Fellow Councillor

32.1    The new Fellow Councillor may contribute to and participate in the proceedings of the ANZCA Council and its committees. The new Fellow Councillor is entitled to exercise all the same rights and privileges at meetings of ANZCA Council as the elected members, including the right to vote, but will not be eligible for election as an office bearer.

 

32.2    The new Fellow Councillor will be within three years of admission to ANZCA fellowship by training and examination, under regulation 6.5, on the closing date for nominations.
 

32.3    The new Fellow Councillor will be elected by Fellows who are within three years of admission to ANZCA fellowship by training and examination on the date on which the balloting list is posted to new Fellows.

 

32.4    The term of office will normally commence after the ANZCA annual general meeting in May, and normally be of two years duration.

 

32.5    A new Fellow standing for election to ANZCA Council as an elected member may not also stand for election as the new Fellow Councillor.

 

32.6    The new Fellow Councillor will not be eligible for re-election as a new Fellow Councillor after completion of his or her term as new Fellow Councillor.

 

32.7    The new Fellow Councillor will be eligible for election to the ANZCA Council as an elected member after his or her term as new Fellow Councillor is completed. The time spent on ANZCA Council as a new Fellow Councillor will be counted towards the 12 years that an elected member may spend on ANZCA Council.

 

32.8    The new Fellow Councillor will be appointed to his or her respective regional or national committee as an ex officio member.
