Regulation 32
NEW FELLOW ON COUNCIL
In April 2006, Council supported the inclusion of a New Fellow on Council.
32.1 The New Fellow shall be included as a Co-opted Observer, who may, at the invitation of the President, contribute to and participate in the proceedings of the Council and its Committees, but shall not have a vote on Council.
32.2 The New Fellow shall be within three years of admission to ANZCA Fellowship by Examination on the date of the election.
32.3 The New Fellow shall be elected by Fellows who are within three years of admission to ANZCA Fellowship by Examination on the date of the election.
32.4 The term of office shall normally commence at the New Council Meeting in May, and normally be of two years duration.
32.5 A New Fellow standing for election to Council as an Elected Member may not also stand for election as the New Fellow representative on Council.
32.6 The New Fellow shall not be eligible for re-election as a New Fellow on Council after completion of their term as New Fellow representative on Council.
32.7 The New Fellow shall be eligible for election to the Council as an Elected Member after their term as New Fellow is completed and that the time spent on Council as a New Fellow shall not be counted towards the 12 years that an Elected Member may spend on Council.
32.8 The New Fellow shall be afforded voting rights on Council only by an amendment to the ANZCA Constitution and a subsequent revision of this Regulation.

32.9 The New Fellow shall be appointed to his/her respective Regional or National Committee as an ex-officio member.
