College Council at its meeting on the 25th November approved the Primary Examination Fee for 2009 to be $3,485.

Update on Training for sedation in Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Procedures
Recently, the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA), the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) jointly issued an updated policy on sedation (ANZCA Professional Document PS 9 Guidelines on Sedation and/or Analgesia for Diagnostic and Interventional Medical or Surgical Procedures).

Conflict of Interest policy
At ANZCA’s October Council meeting, a Conflict of Interest policy was approved. The purpose of the policy is to provide guidance in identifying and handling potential and actual conflicts of interest involving the College and its activities.

Examination Preparation Courses

Overview and directory of preparation courses for the Primary and Final Examinations.

Each year some of the Regional Offices conduct courses designed to assist trainees preparing to present for the Primary and Final examinations. Demand is often significant, so priority is given to applicants who have registered to sit the examination. You must also be registered with the College as a Trainee.
