ANZCA Curriculum Revision 2013
The Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) is responsible for the examination and qualification of anaesthetists and standards of anaesthesia practice in Australia and New Zealand. A comprehensive curriculum review concluded in May 2010, resulting in the redesign of the curriculum which will be introduced in the 2013 hospital employment year.

The curriculum articulates the structure of the revised program and the learning outcomes for each of the clinical fundamentals, ANZCA roles in practice and specialised study units.
The curriculum defines the volume of practice requirements for cases and procedures and outlines how each learning outcome can be assessed, including the content of the primary and final examinations.
For trainees preparing for the new format primary examination, Appendix Three presents the primary examination learning outcomes.
