Curriculum authoring groups
The process of redesigning the ANZCA curriculum begain in July 2010 with groups of ANZCA Fellows undertaking rewriting activities in various topic areas.
There were 10 curriculum authoring groups (CAGs) each responsible for writing course content in a specific topic area and developing recommendations around assessment, volume of practice and clinical experience requirements.
Each group had three members and a Curriculum Redesign Steering Group (CRSG) member as chair. The terms of reference and project brief outline the responsibilities of the CAGs in detail. To author the content, CAGs used an online collaboration tool named Moodle (login required).
The official involvement of the CAGs ended in December 2010. A number of group members have chosen to continue their work on the project in a different capacity.
