Notes:
- All fees are calculated excluding GST and where applicable GST is added to the base fee.
- The New Zealand dollar amount is calculated to be equal to the Australian dollar amount using the closing exchange rate two weeks before the Council meeting.
- The New Zealand GST rate is 15 per cent.
Changes to the fee payment schedule
In 2008, the College introduced a new schedule for payment of training fees.
The new fee schedule adheres closely to procedures used by most tertiary institutions and is designed to keep track of where trainees are in their training program, and to identify those who may have withdrawn or deferred their training.
The major changes are as follows:
- From 2008 it will be assumed that trainees who have started the ANZCA training program will continue in training unless they notify the College that they intend to defer their training. Prior to the start of each hospital year, trainees will be notified on the website of the annual training fee for that year.
- Each year the annual training fee is due on:
January 31 for trainees in Australia and New Zealand and all other countries in non-ANZCA regions.
June 30 for trainees in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. - Trainees who are not in supervised training or who are taking a break from training are required to pay a registration maintenance fee. This will maintain registration and ensures the trainee's access to the library and protected areas of the website, as well as the ongoing receipt of the ANZCA Bulletin and other communications.
- Training fees for Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia are payable in Australian dollars.
- Trainees have two months to pay their annual training fee or registration maintenance fee. After two notifications of non-payment it will be assumed that they have withdrawn from the program.
- Part-time trainees are required to pay the full annual training fee.
- Trainees will pay no more than five annual training fees in the course of their training to fellowship, but are required to pay the annual registration maintenance fee if they do not complete their training within five years or are not Fellows of the College by the fee due date.
