Applicants who begin training after the start of the hospital year
If you are starting your training year at an approved training site, you must first register and pay the annual training fee by January 31 (Australia and New Zealand) or June 30 (Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore). Trainees who begin approved training after the start of the hospital year must pay the annual training fee within one month of the start of approved training.
Fees
All new registrants must pay the standard registration fee. If you are already in training or will be starting training within the year you register, you must also pay the annual training fee.
Once you are registered, you are expected to begin approved training within 12 months. If you are not in approved training in the next hospital year, you will be required to pay a registration maintenance fee. This maintains your registration and ensures that you will continue to receive all College publications and correspondence.
Failure to pay the registration maintenance fee will result in your registration being cancelled. You will then need to re-register with the College.
You can pay by credit card, bank draft, money order or cheque drawn on an Australian bank.
Training agreement
ANZCA is committed to ensuring that all parties involved in the training of anaesthesia specialists – ANZCA, its representatives and trainees - understand and are informed of their rights and obligations.
The training agreement sets out the rights, responsibilities and obligations of each party involved in the training program and helps ensure the transparency of processes and the confidentiality of assessments and decisions.
Privacy
In the course of the training program, the College collects and holds personal information for the purpose of registration, clinical training, examination administration, and future Fellowship activities. The information collected and held will not be disclosed to third parties except as required by law.
The reasons for collecting the information and the use to which it is put are outlined in ANZCA's privacy policy.
Re-registration
If you withdraw from the College and decide to recommence your training, you will need to register once again and pay a re-registration fee. Please contact the Registration Officer (training@anzca.edu.au) for the required forms and underlying conditions.
Training program materials
Upon registration, you will receive a learning portfolio for recording your progress in training and copies of the ANZCA training program curriculum and syllabus.
