Conflict of Interest policy
At ANZCA’s October Council meeting, a Conflict of Interest policy was approved. The purpose of the policy is to provide guidance in identifying and handling potential and actual conflicts of interest involving the College and its activities.

1.     2008 Annual Training Fees

Annual Training fees are due on:

 31 January 2008 for all countries except Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia

30 June 2008 for Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia

2.     Training Forms

Trainees are reminded that, as per Regulations 15.6.1.1 & 15.7.1.1 (2007), ‘Trainees must submit the relevant Approved Vocational Training Form (and Module Completion form K) within three months of completing each training year. A Trainee who fails, without reasonable excuse, to submit the form on time is disqualified from Approved Training from the date that the form was due to the date the form was received by the College.

If you are having trouble submitting these forms in a timely manner please contact the Examinations and Training Department.

 

3.     New arrangements for the College Assessor role

Following a review of the College’s practices in relation to the role of Assessor, new arrangements are now in place. Fellows and Trainees need to be aware of these changes.

As from 1 November 2007, Dr Steuart Henderson, FANZCA, has been appointed Director of Professional Affairs (Assessor). Dr Henderson is a former member of the ANZCA Council (1992 to 2004), and held the position of Assessor on Council between 2001 and 2004.

Trainees seeking the decision of the Assessor in relation to eligibility and associated issues for examinations and admission to Fellowship should address their submissions and inquiries to the DPA (Assessor) in the first instance.

Inquiries about this change of practice should be directed in the first instance to the Administrative Officer, Assessor Support, Ms Karen Atkins, on 03 9510 6299 or via email: Assessor-requests@anzca.edu.au or to the Chief Executive Officer, ANZCA at ceo@anzca.edu.au.

 

4.     College Closing Dates

The College will be closed from COB Friday 21st December 2007 and will reopen on Wednesday 2nd January 2008.
