Curriculum overview
An overview of the 2013 ANZCA training program is provided in the following diagram.

The ANZCA curriculum review, which began in late 2008, addressed issues facing the medical systems in which anaesthetists work and train, including an increase in the number of junior doctors seeking places in vocational training; government calls for more training settings in the private sector and rural areas; and the need to maintain a contemporary training program in both clinical content and educational method.
The outcomes of the review included a new ANZCA Curriculum Framework (download here) and Recommendations for Curriculum Change (download here).
