ANZCA Educators Program


The ANZCA Educators Program is a practical teaching course that is focused on the application of educational theory to facilitate learning and teach with results.

Participants are able to personalise their learning program by selecting modules based on their own learning needs and interests. The program consists of the following eleven modules:

  • Planning effective teaching and learning (core unit)
  • Teaching in the clinical setting (core unit)
  • Interactive teaching and learning
  • Authentic assessment
  • Teaching practical skills
  • Feedback to enhance learning
  • Clinical supervision
  • Concepts in assessment
  • Organisation of education in departments
  • Trainee experiencing difficulty
  • Technology in teaching and learning

Eligibility to attend 

The ANZCA Educators Program is open to ANZCA fellows, specialist international medical graduates, provisional fellows, advanced and basic trainees; and to FPM fellows and trainees.


From January 1, 2017, a participant contribution of $A100 / $NZ107 (excluding GST) per module applies and from January 1, 2020 trainees will pay a reduced fee of $A50 / $NZ53.50 (excluding GST) per module.

The participant contribution equates to approximately one third of the actual cost of running the event and maintaining the program. ANZCA funds the remaining costs. Cancellation and refund conditions apply. Click here for further information.

The ANZCA Educators Program is delivered by ANZCA Educators Program Facilitators, who are appointed Fellows, and ANZCA’s Learning and Development Facilitator, Maurice Hennessy.
