Anton Booth MBBS FANZCA is an Associate Professor (Faculty of Medicine, University of Queensland), Senior Staff Specialist (Department of Anaesthesia, Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane Australia) and a member of the Narcosia Anaesthesia Group. He received his medical degree at the University of Queensland and completed his Anaesthesia training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
 
Dr Booth is the training supervisor for Head and Neck Anaesthesia at Princess Alexandra Hospital and was the inaugural supervisor of the Advanced Airway Fellowship between 2014-2016.  Clinically, Dr Booth provides anaesthesia for ENT/head and neck, maxillofacial, plastic, urology, general and robotic surgery including sedation for gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.
 
Dr Booth’s main academic interests involve head and neck anaesthesia and airway management techniques and devices. He has a specific interest in tubeless anaesthesia for otolaryngology, management of the obstructed airway, spontaneous ventilation using intravenous anaesthesia, pharmacokinetics of propofol target controlled infusions, high-flow nasal oxygen, tracheal tube introducers, videolaryngoscopy and tracheal tube exchange techniques.
