Dr Matt Mathieson

Dr Matt Mathieson is an anaesthetist who has been working at the Royal Darwin and Palmerston Hospitals since 2021. He originally grew up in Canada but came to Australia to complete his medical training in 2008. He completed the majority of his anaesthetic training in Melbourne and has undergone fellowships in obstetrics, paediatrics, cardiac surgery and liver transplantation. 

Since working in the Territory he has continued to develop special interests in patient blood management and major haemorrhage as well as the promotion of perioperative echocardiography.
