ANZCA Clinical Trials Network

Gillian joined the ANZCA Clinical Trials Network in June 2018, coordinating sites in Australian and New Zealand for the Canadian led POISE-3 Trial. Gillian's other main role is in supporting the Anaesthesia Research Coordinator Network (ARCN) which consists of over 160 research coordinators.

As part of her role Gillian facilitates monthly inservice sessions and workshops and assists the ARCN Sub-Committee. She has experience in coordinating paediatric clinical trials at several departments in the Murdoch Children's Research Institute including the GAS trial (neurodevelopmental outcome after general anaesthesia or awake-regional anaesthesia in infancy)  in  anaesthesia and pain Management, but has also worked in emergency research and infectious disease and microbiology.

Gillian is a scientist and has a background in genetics and epidemiology.
