The Education and Research unit is responsible for all areas of education, including training and assessments, the anaesthesia training program, including examinations, the online training portfolio system and support for these functions.

The unit also has a learning and development role which supports continuing professional development (CPD), developing and delivering learning resources, such as the ANZCA Educators Program, the EMAC course and other resources on the Networks learning system.

The unit also looks after new program development, training site accreditation, the specialist international medical graduate (SIMG) process, education evaluation and medical council accreditation. 

The ANZCA Research Foundation is also part of Education and Training.
