The sole criterion for this award is distinguished service to anaesthesia, perioperative medicine and/or pain medicine.
“Distinguished service” is defined as service that is so notable or extraordinary that it sets the recipient apart from their colleagues; the service should occur above and beyond the clinical setting.
Eligibility for this award is limited to current and retired fellows of the college.
Nominations for 2023 are now closed.
Nominations may be made by three fellows of the college and be completed using the online nomination form with a supporting nomination letter and a curriculum vitae of the nominee provided. Nominations will be marked as private and confidential.
Following adjudication and review by the Awards Advisory Panel, nominees will be presented to Council for decison. Recipients will be notified by phone within seven days of the Council meeting. The award will be presented at the College Ceremony as part of the Annual Scientific Meeting in May the following year.
