FPM committees

The FPM committees support the board in achieving its objectives.

The appointment of office bearers, committee chairs and membership nominations is confirmed following the FPM annual general meetings each year.

FPM Executive Committee

The Executive Committee assists the faculty's dean and general manager in dealing with matters that arise between board meetings, and alerts the board to matters needing consideration, action or ratification.

The Training and Assessment Executive Committee (TAEC) oversees training, assessment and accreditation activities.

Reporting to the Training and Assessment Executive Committee, the Examination Committee oversees the governance and implementation of FPM exams.

Reporting to the Training and Assessment Executive Committee, the Learning and Development Committee is responsible for the ongoing support and evaluation of the training program and other educational initiatives.

FPM Training Unit Accreditation Committee

Reporting to the Training and Assessment Executive Committee, the Training Unit Accreditation Committee implements and oversees the accreditation of multidisciplinary pain management units for the core training stage of the faculty training program.

The Professional Affairs Executive Committee (PAEC) oversees professional standards, scientific meetings and research activities.

FPM Professional Standards Committee

The Professional Standards Committee reports to the Professional Affairs Executive Committee and acts as formal liaison between the faculty and regional/national committees; reviews and develops professional documents and responds to professional issues.

Reporting to the Professional Affairs Executive Committee, the Research and Innovation Committee oversees innovative projects and initiatives in line with our strategic objectives, as well as promoting pain medicine research among our fellows and trainees.
