2021 Emerging Leaders Conference

Are you an emerging leader in anaesthesia or pain medicine? Do you want to enhance your leadership within your workplace? Are you within five years* of fellowship? Then the 2021 ELC is for you!

Closing date for applications: Friday 26 March 2021.

Applications are invited from fellows in all training regions to attend the 2021 Emerging Leaders Conference (ELC) in Mitchelton, Nagambie, Victoria.

To be eligible, fellows must have received their fellowship and be within five years* of fellowship on Friday 26 March 2021 and attending the 2021 ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM). Selection will be undertaken by the regional and national committees and the Faculty of Pain Medicine. The ELC aims to facilitate leadership and management capabilities for those who want to prepare for challenges, learn new thinking and contribute professionally and to the college.

Mitchelton is a unique venue situated in the stunning Nagambie region. It is a perfect backdrop for generating vibrant and progressive ideas for our college future paths.

The college and faculty are investing in their future leaders by covering the costs of this conference. The applicant is responsible for the cost of travel to and from the ELC, and the ASM registration fee and associated costs. We welcome and encourage parents with newborns and their support person. Unfortunately, family members including small children, are not otherwise permitted to attend due to the immersive nature of the conference.

2020 ELC delegates who missed out on attending the 2020 ELC in Perth will be given first preference to attend the 2021 ELC.
