The Australian Government has been implementing changes to opioid regulation since the beginning of the year. On 1 June several changes to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) were introduced. As leaders in  this space specialist pain medicine physicians need to be aware of these changes and be ready to inform and influence current policy and the future directions of opioid regulation.

This webinar updates specialist pain medicine physicians on the current PBS changes and shares the Q+A 21 October session that featured senior faculty leaders and PBS representatives. Doctors can access pre-recorded lectures by Faculty of Pain Medicine Dean Associate Professor Michael Vagg and senior PBS representative Ms Sophia Palmer, Acting Director of PBS Restrictions and Implementation Section.

Doctors can also access a recording of the interactive Q+A panel session which examined the changes and their impact on patients and colleagues.

Subscribers can access a recording of this live stream and also the presentations to watch on demand for up to 12 months after the webinar broadcast date.

We hope these discussions will form the basis of a session at the FPM Symposium on 30 April 2021 where we can further explore the impact of these changes amid the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.
