2022 Tasmanian ACE Winter Meeting

Join us for the 2022 Tasmanian ACE Winter Meeting "Keeping the glass half full."

The meeting will be held on Saturday, 20 August at the picturesque Josef Chromy Vineyard in Relbia, just outside of Launceston.
 
The theme for this year's meeting is "Keeping the glass half full". Delegates are invited to bring a sense of optimism to the meeting and explore a range of topics including the changing landscape that is education in anaesthesia and medicine, social media, regional anaesthesia and pain medicine. The day finishes with a guest speaker winemaker to lead into drinks and dinner at the award-winning restaurant on site.

We will have a great line-up of speakers from different specialties and disciplines to educate us on a variety of topics.

We would like to thank the FANZCA speakers and workshop facilitators who donate many hours of their time to organise, prepare and present at the regional ACE meetings.

Cost and registration

Registration is now open

Registration includes full catering on the day, pre-dinner canapes plus a 3 course sit down meal at the award winning Josef Chromy restaurant (same venue as the meeting).  Dinner guests are at an additional cost.

All registration fees are quoted in Australian dollars and inclusive of GST.

Accommodation

Delegates will need to organise their own accommodation. Josef Chromy is approximately a 15 minute drive south of Launceston.

Shuttle Bus

We have arranged a shuttle bus from your choice of two accommodation venues: Peppers Silo or Mantra Charles Hotel. Delegates need to select which venue they would like to be collected from and returned to. Please note delegates will need to also choose a return journey, if required. The shuttle bus cost is $40pp each trip ($80pp return).

The bus will be picking up at 8am and dropping off at 10pm.
 

Continuing professional development (CPD)

Participants in the ANZCA and FPM CPD program will automatically have their attendance auto-populated to their CPD portfolio within 14 days of the conclusion of the meeting.

ANZCA and FPM CPD Program
This event is claimable by ANZCA and FPM CPD participants within the knowledge and skills.

Knowledge and skills activities
Lectures/presentations for one credit per hour. Workshops and small group discussions for two credits per hour.

If you're not a member of our CPD program
Delegates who are not participants of the ANZCA and FPM CPD Program should check with their respective colleges/providers regarding CPD. A certificate of attendance is available from the event organiser.
