2023 Tasmanian Trainee Day

Registrations are now closed. For further information, please email us.

Hello and welcome to the Tasmanian Trainee Day for 2023,

This is an annual event specifically for anaesthesia trainees and junior doctors, run by Tasmanian trainees, and leading into the Tasmanian Annual Scientific Meeting. Over the course of a day we will deliver an incredible national line-up of speakers delivering content relevant to training in anaesthesia including specialty careers within anaesthesia, approaching exams, fulfilling training requirements, and looking after yourself on this journey.

Some of this year's highlights include a talk on technology in anaesthesia from Professor Reny Segal, exam tips and preparation tailored to primary and fellowship examinations delivered by Dr Greg Bulman (primary examiner) and Dr Vida Viliunas (previous final exam chair and ASA education officer), and a session exploring paediatric anaesthesia by paediatric anaesthetist Dr Jessie Maulder.

The day ends with a panel discussion from our key note speakers, followed by drinks and canapés at Hadley’s Orient Hotel … and this year we’re excited to be unveiling a plaque commemorating the founding of the ASA in 1934 in that very hotel.

We look forward to meeting you on the day,

David & Elle
Co-convenors
