Join us for an evening presentation with Associate Professor Brian Burns in Canberra.

We are delighted to welcome Associate Professor Brian Burns to Canberra to give an evening presentation on high performance teams and culture, and performance under pressure.  The evening presentation is open to ACT trainees, fellows, and non-members including ANU medical students.  

Guest speaker

We welcome Associate Professor Brian Burns to Canberra. Brian is an Emergency Physician (Northern Beaches Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospitals), Retrieval Specialist & Director of Research (Greater Sydney Area HEMS), and Trauma Director (Orange Health Service, NSW).

Originally from Ireland, Brian graduated from University College Dublin in 1998. Brian completed Emergency Medicine specialty training at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney and has most recently been a consultant with GSA-HEMS for the past 5 years. Brian previously worked for 5 years as an emergency physician at Liverpool Hospital before moving to the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Brian’s interests include critical care, trauma, shock, resuscitation and ECMO. He is a researcher in prehospital care, trauma and critical care.
