Presentation - Resuscitating the wellbeing of anaesthetists

Please join us for "Resuscitating the wellbeing of anaesthetists" an evening presentation with Liz Crowe as we delve into the ever-important issue of anaesthetist wellbeing.

Everyone is interested in their wellbeing and the wellbeing of their colleagues, yet few anaesthetists can articulate what wellbeing is for them. This talk uses the latest evidence to reflect on what are the risk and protective factors for anaesthetist wellbeing, and will explore how to care for yourself and your colleagues and remain energised at work and at home.

Liz is a specialist social worker who has spent 20 plus years in paediatric intensive care specialising in crisis, trauma and end-of-life care with children and families. In the last decade Liz has increased her focus to include the wellbeing of health care professionals. Liz is currently employed as a Staff Wellbeing Specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She has submitted a PhD thesis investigating the risk and protective factors for health care professional wellbeing. Liz is a passionate and humorous educator and podcaster who regularly speaks internationally. Liz is the successful author of ‘The Little Book of Loss and Grief You Can Read While You Cry’.
