Dr Harriet Wood

Harriet Wood is a Senior Staff Specialist and Acute Pain Lead at Redland Hospital, a small unit 30 minutes south of Brisbane. Harriet went to medical school in Newcastle UK, where she also completed 7 years training in anaesthetics with intensive care. Harriet became a Consultant Anaesthetist in the UK in 2007 and worked in a tertiary hospital for 10 years before emigrating to Australia. She started work at Redland Hospital in 2017, where she is also anaesthetics intern and resident supervisor, perioperative covid lead and maintains a keen interest in service development. Harriet recently co-authored an article on epidural labour analgesia for the ANZCA Blue Book.
