2020 - 2022 CPD end of triennium results
03 May 2023
Our CPD program’s most recent triennium process has been completed with a 99.9 per cent completion. This excellent result is supported by the past two triennium processes completed with a 100 per cent completion.
Congratulations to the 3177 participants in the 2020 - 2022 continuing professional development (CPD) triennium for achieving 99.9 per cent completion. This is an amazing achievement and shows your commitment to maintaining your professional development and CPD portfolios.
With the previous trienniums, 2019 - 2021 and 2018 - 2020, achieving 100 per cent completion, this demonstrates how you continue to thrive and navigate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the evolving CPD requirements.
Professional development is pivotal to supporting your patients and to continue to achieve medical excellence in your profession. We believe that such impressive completion rates also demonstrate the versatility of our CPD program and the practical support of the ANZCA and FPM CPD Committee and team in anticipating members' needs.
How do these results compare to previous CPD trienniums?
Since the introduction of the 2014 triennial CPD program, we have been very proud of our end of triennium process results. Annually achieving between a 98 - 100 per cent completion rate, with the 2019 - 2021 and 2018 - 2020 trienniums achieving 100 per cent completion.
Transiting from triennium to annual CPD program
As of 1 January 2024, your 2014 triennial CPD program will be updated by your new 2023 annual CPD program. The staged transition process to the revised annual program has commenced from 1 January 2023, with the 2020 - 2022 triennium becoming the first CPD cohort to transition to the annual CPD program.
We commend all fellows and CPD participants for their commitment to professional development and updating your CPD portfolios.
Updating your CPD portfolio is also essential for the CPD review project and its developments. We encourage you to make an active effort at best practice by recording CPD activities in your portfolio as you complete them.
The CPD committee and team will continue to monitor and evaluate completions to help tailor 'how to meet your CPD requirements' and to support the CPD review project.
