2024 ASM call for abstracts
26 September 2023
Prospective authors have until 11.59pm AEDT on 21 January 2024 to submit abstracts for the 2024 ANZCA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Brisbane.
ANZCA strongly supports all forms of anaesthesia and pain medicine research. This includes everything from sub-studies of large multicentre research such as the SNaPP study (recently awarded a Medical Research Future Fund grant) to survey research or audits undertaken by trainees in their local hospitals and ANZCA-funded research.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their abstracts for the 2024 ASM in the categories of anaesthesia and pain medicine. In 2024, we’ve amped up our ePoster presentations. Read more about this latest initiative on the ASM website.
The Gilbert Brown Prize Session, ANZCA Trainee Academic Prize Session (ANZCA Trainee Research Prize and ANZCA Trainee Quality Improvement Prize), FPM Dean’s Prize and FPM Best Free Paper Award will be oral presentations. A number of electronic posters (ePosters) will also be selected for moderated oral presentations for the ASM Open ePoster Prize and Trainee ePoster Prize sessions.
The regional organising committee will also select a number of the abstracts presented at the 2024 ASM to be considered for publishing as an e-supplement to the Anaesthesia and Intensive Care journal or in the Pain Medicine journal.
