Victorian Government calls 'code brown'

ANZCA is cognisant of the significant strain being placed on healthcare workers across Australia and New Zealand due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The announcement by the Victorian Government to call a code brown has further escalated the pressure on our Victorian colleagues. We also understand that in some jurisdictions colleagues are being redeployed into clinical settings outside their regular scope of practice.
ANZCA recognises the continuing and escalating pressure this places on fellows and trainees responding to frontline health demands and the importance of supporting colleagues at this critical time.

The college’s thoughts are with colleagues across both sides of the Tasman and we thank you for all you are doing in response to the ongoing challenges that COVID-19 continues to deliver to our healthcare system.
