New Australian cultural safety modules
21 February 2023
We're delighted to share the two new cultural safety modules launched with our new learning management system, Learn@ANZCA.
The content is designed to help doctors in Australia provide a culturally safe environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Learning aims include:
- Develop cultural competency that supports equity and social justice.
- Respond to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, their families and communities in a culturally safe manner.
- Consider the variability of different patient and community requirements and adapt their care accordingly.
- Consider the impact of colonisation and the power differences within the western system of health management.
ANZCA and FPM CPD Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program participants can complete the modules to satisfy the annual cultural safety activity requirement.
Please note that the annual cultural safety activity has no set hours. You can find more information in the CPD handbook.
