2021 IACA conference

Purchase access to recordings of all sessions from the 2021 International Academy of Colleges of Anaesthesiology (IACA) Conference.

More than 1000 delegates registered for the inaugral IACA conference, which was held virtually from 15-17 June. With the theme COVID-19: Lessons for the future of Anaesthesia and Critical Care, it examined lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and how these could enhance anaesthesia and critical care practice.

Speakers included representatives from the World Health Organization, microbiologist Associate Professor Siouxsie Wiles MNZM (New Zealander of the Year), Clinical Associate Professor Nick Coatsworth  (former Deputy Chief Medical Officer Australia) and Professor Kristine Macartney, Director of the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance Australia. ANZCA councillor and Safety and Quality Committee Chair Professor David Story and Auckland fellow Dr Helen Lindsay were members of the conference scientific organising committee.
