2022 gender equity research survey

If you're one of the fellows randomly selected to receive the survey, we encourage you complete it. This research is an important gender equity initiative.

11 May 2022

The Gender Equity Sub-committee will be releasing a third iteration of a seminal gender research survey on 11 May. The survey will be open for four weeks and examines the impact of gender on the professional lives of Australian and New Zealand based fellows. Topics such as work composition and job satisfaction will also be covered.

The survey will be sent to approximately 15 per cent of the fellowship, selected at random. If you receive the survey, we encourage you complete it. This research is an important gender equity initiative.

The first iteration of the survey was run by Dr Diana Khursandi on behalf of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists in 1993, and the second by Dr Catherine Ashes and Dr Natalie Smith in 2010.

We look forward to being able to share the results of this research at the combined SIG meeting in September.
